The Whidden-Thomas-Kluttz Award
The Whidden-Thomas-Kluttz Award was established in 2008 to honor the years of faithful ministry that the “Ladies Trio” offered to Concord First Assembly. Starting in 1958, the “Ladies Trio” provided inspirational and anointed music to the congregation of CFA. This award is offered to college students who are actively associated with Concord First Assembly or graduates of First Assembly Christian School and majoring in the arts. If a student is a double major, arts must be the first listed major. The Board of the WTK Award will evaluate applicants based on their application, interview, and audition/portfolio.
There are three steps involved in the award process.
Step 1: Submit the following by June 13, 2010
Application, Autobiography, Transcript, and Reference Process
Step 2: Up to 5 applicants will be asked to participate in an interview with the Board
Step 3: Up to 5 applicants will be asked to participate in an audition or in a sampling of
their art
The WTK Board will decide the winner(s) and the allocation of funds based on the three steps detailed above.
In accepting the WTK Award, the student agrees to maintain a full-time student load and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. If a recipient fails to meet these criteria, they forfeit the award and agree to refund the scholarship.
