PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Private instruction is the core discipline of arts education and the heart of Intune School of the Arts. Lessons are offered year-round for children and adults, from beginning through advanced levels in voice, piano, and guitar. We offer an expert faculty with a wide range of diverse talents, styles and personalities ensuring the best-suited student/teacher match.

Lessons are currently being operated and managed by Concord Academy. This form will connect you with instructors for voice, piano, and guitar instructors. More instructors are being added frequently to serve more students.

Joshua Little

Joshua’s love for creative excellence & community show in many of his artistic endeavors, especially with his private studio students. He loves pouring into the next generation of passionate and skilled creatives by empowering students with self confidence, a tool belt of music techniques, and a drive to find joy in every musical moment. Joshua graduated from Evangel University, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor’s in Music Education. Currently you can find him teaching & directing the award winning shows & arts programs of Concord Academy (K-12 Music & Theater), running the Intune Studio, and directing and assisting with community arts programs like Cabarrus Community Choir, Micdrop, and SMACK. At his core, Joshua enjoys the connection music can bring to all people and hopes to inspire many artists to pursue that connection in excellence.

Charity Helms

Voice & Piano Instructor

Charity is so happy to be joining the Intune School of Music family this year. She has been teaching voice and piano for 15 years in some capacity or another. Her mom says she was making melody before she even started talking. Charity has a degree in 7-12 grade English education and a minor in vocal performance from Liberty University. Currently, she is a third grade teacher at Concord Academy. Tim is her husband of 28 years and they have four children — two are married, one is in college, and one is a sophomore at Concord Academy.

Charity is so excited to be here at Intune where she can combine her love for Jesus and her love for music!

Yvonne majored in Piano Performance and Music Theory which prepared her for her chosen profession of teaching piano from the beginner level to college preparatory. She has been teaching for 30 years and has always enjoyed observing her students progress. It is especially rewarding for her when they realize that there is a great big musical world out there and they can be a part of it!

Paul has been playing guitar for 54 years and has played professionally in several bands playing Jazz, Blues, Boogie, Rock, R&B, Contemporary Christian, and Country. He is currently playing guitar with the worship team at his home church and has taught guitar on and off since 1978. Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced skill level guitarists, there is always something to learn. Paul loves teaching guitar because he knows the joy it brings He loves to watch students when they play their first song and the excitement they have. Lessons are tailored to the student, so you will learn at your own pace. You will learn guitar music theory and techniques for playing the music style of your choice. You will be playing songs at the same time you learn the theory and how to apply it in your playing.
